Indications of Lopirel Plus TabletTo prevent harmful blood clots from forming in blood vessels, Lopirel Plus is a combination of two antiplatelet medications or a blood thinner. This aids those with heart disease in avoiding a heart attack or stroke.Pharmacology of Lopirel Plus TabletA prodrug used to treat blood clots is clopidogrel. The P2Y12 class of ADP receptors on platelets serves as an irreversible binding site for its active metabolite, which inhibits platelet activation and aggregation. A dose-dependent suppression of platelet aggregation can be observed two hours after a single oral dose. Repeated 75 mg doses on day one reduce ADP-induced platelet aggregation, and between days three and seven, inhibition reaches a stable state.Aspirin stops the production of thromboxane A2, a powerful inducer of platelet aggregation and vasoconstriction, by permanently inhibiting platelet cyclooxygenase.Dosage & Administration of Lopirel Plus TabletThe recommended oral dose is one tablet daily.Interactions of Lopirel Plus TabletThe risk of bleeding is raised by oral anticoagulants, NSAIDs, Metamizole, SSRIs, and CYP2C19 inhibitors, among other medications. It interacts with tonofovir, valproic acid, varicella vaccine, acetazolamide, and nicorandil.ContraindicationsIf you have any of the following conditions, you shouldn’t take this combination: hypersensitivity to the drug or any of the ingredients in the product. Examples of current pathological bleeding include cerebral hemorrhage and peptic ulcers.Side Effects of Lopirel Plus TabletThis combination is generally well tolerated.Pregnancy & LactationIn pregnant women, there are no sufficient and well-controlled trials. It should only be taken if absolutely necessary throughout the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. During the third trimester of pregnancy, it is not recommended. Clopidogrel is not known to be excreted in human breast milk, however, it is known to be excreted in human milk. During breastfeeding, this drug should be avoided.Precautions & WarningsTTP (thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura) has only occasionally been reported as an adverse reaction to this mixture.People are afflicted with Reye’s syndrome. Reye’s syndrome can appear in people who have chicken pox, the flu, or flu-like symptoms. Patients receiving this combination or those with a history of thienopyridine hypersensitivity have experienced hematologic, rash, or angioedema reactions.Your chance of bleeding rises as a result. Use caution when using sharp objects, shaving, or cutting your fingernails or toenails.Before having any surgery, let the surgeon know you are taking Lopirel Plus.Storage ConditionsKeep in a cool & dry place (below 30o C), protected from light & moisture.
