Description:
The nasal spray Oxymetazoline is used to relieve nasal discomfort caused by colds, allergies, and hay fever. It can also be used to treat sinus congestion and pressure. Unless prescribed by a doctor, oxymetazoline nasal spray should not be used to treat children under the age of six. Children aged 6 to 12 should use oxymetazoline nasal spray with caution and under adult supervision. Oxymetazoline belongs to the class of medications known as nasal decongestants. It functions by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal passages.
