Concor 10mg 10pcs
Description:
Indication
Angina and hypertension are treated with Concor Tablet either alone or in combination with other medications (chest pain due to decrease oxygen supply to the heart muscles). This medication lowers your heart rate by relaxing your heart muscles. Your blood pressure drops as a result.
Pharmacology
Concor’s active ingredient, bisoprolol, is a beta1-selective adrenoceptor-blocking agent with no intrinsic stimulating or membrane-stabilizing activity. It has a very low affinity for the smooth muscle beta2 receptors of the bronchi and vessels, as well as the beta2 receptors involved in metabolic regulation. As a result, bisoprolol is unlikely to influence airway resistance or beta2-mediated metabolic effects. Its beta1-selectivity is not limited to the therapeutic dose range.
Dosage & Administration
- Treatment of stable chronic heart failure: Standard CHF treatment includes an ACE inhibitor (or an angiotensin receptor blocker if ACE inhibitors are intolerable), a beta-blocker, diuretics, and, when indicated, cardiac glycosides. The start of treatment with Concor for stable chronic heart failure necessitates a special 5 mg once daily is typically the starting dose. 2.5 mg might be an appropriate starting dose for some patients. Once daily dosages of 10 mg and 20 mg may be used if the antihypertensive effects of 5 mg are insufficient. a heart attack: 1.25 mg once a day (in the morning) for the first week, then 2.5 mg once a day for a week, 3.75 mg once a day for a week, 5 mg once a day for four weeks, 7.5 mg once a day for four weeks, and finally 10 mg once a day, up to a maximum of 10 mg per day if well tolerated. hepatic dysfunction Severe: At first, 2.5 mg per day. 10 mg maximum daily. Hypertension in the elderly 2.5-20 mg PO Heart Failure, day 1.25 mg titration phase. Bisoprolol treatment requires stable chronic heart failure without acute failure. It is recommended that the treating physician has prior experience managing chronic heart failure. Individual adaptation may be required depending on how well the patient tolerates each dose, ie, the dose is only to be increased if the previous dose was well tolerated.
- Concor tablets are taken in the morning and can be taken with food. They are swallowed whole with some liquid and not chewed.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
- Use during pregnancy & lactation: A doctor’s careful evaluation of the benefit-to-risk ratio is required before Concor is advised for use during pregnancy.
Beta-blockers generally decrease placental blood flow, which could have an impact on the unborn child’s development. In case of negative effects on pregnancy or the fetus, alternative therapeutic measures must be taken into consideration. Placental and uterine blood flow, as well as the growth of the unborn child, must be monitored. - After delivery, the newborn infant needs to be carefully watched. Within the first three days of life, symptoms like low blood sugar and a slowed heartbeat are common.
- There is no information on the safety of infant exposure to bisoprolol or its excretion in human breast milk. Therefore, it is not advised to administer Concor while breastfeeding.
- Use in children: Because bisoprolol has not been adequately studied in pediatric patients, it is not advised that children use Concor.
Precautions & Warnings
- When your heart muscle is unable to pump blood normally, heart failure results. Concor tablets may make your heart’s contractions even weaker and cause your heart rate to slow down. Therefore, if you have heart failure, you must use it with caution. While you are taking this medication, your doctor will carefully watch how your heart is functioning.
- Concor tablets should not be used for major surgery because they may interact with anesthesia and affect how the heart functions. If you intend to have surgery of any kind, let your doctor know that you’ll be taking this medication.
