Indications
Mometasone cream is used to treat the inflammatory and pruritic symptoms of dermatoses that respond to corticosteroids, such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
Pharmacology
Mometasone may be a corticosteroid illustrating anti-inflammatory properties. The exact mechanism of corticosteroid activity on unfavorably susceptible rhinitis isn’t known. Corticosteroids have appeared to have a wide extent of impacts on different cell sorts (e.g., pole cells, eosinophils, neutrophils, macrophages, and lymphocytes) and arbiters (e.g., histamine, eicosanoids, leukotrienes, and cytokines) included in irritation.
Dosage & Administration
Once a day, apply a thin layer of Mometasone Furoate cream to the afflicted skin areas. It has not been proven to be safe and effective in children under the age of two.
Contraindications
Individuals who have had a history of hypersensitive reactions to Mometasone or any of the preparation’s components should avoid using it.
Side Effects
Mometasone Furoate cream is well accepted by most people. Burning, itchiness, and skin atrophy are all possible side effects.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy: No competent and well-controlled trials on pregnant women have been conducted.
It is unknown whether this medication goes into breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings
If irritation occurs when using Mometasone Furoate cream, it is best to stop using it.
