Pharmacology of Moxacil 875
Amoxicillin is a penicillin with a broad spectrum of activity. It works against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the biosynthesis of cell walls. In the presence of stomach acid, amoxicillin is stable and is readily absorbed after oral administration. Amoxicillin reaches its maximal plasma concentration about 1 to 2 hours after an oral dose. Amoxicillin is widely disseminated in human tissues and fluids at various concentrations.

Interaction of Moxacil 875
When you take Amoxicillin and Probenecid together, your blood levels of Amoxicillin may rise and stay high for a long time. Amoxicillin may alter gut flora, resulting in decreased estrogen reabsorption and decreased efficacy of combined estrogen/progesterone contraceptives.
Contraindications
Amoxicillin is not recommended for people who are allergic to penicillin.
Side Effects of Moxacil 875
The side effects are minor and only last a short time. Diarrhea, indigestion, and rash are all possible symptoms. Only a few cases of pseudo-membranous colitis have been reported.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Amoxicillin is classified as a pregnancy category B by the US Food and Drug Administration. However, no suitable and well-controlled studies on pregnant women have been conducted. Because animal reproduction studies do not always predict human response, this medication should only be used during pregnancy if absolutely necessary. Human milk has been found to contain amoxicillin. When administering Amoxicillin to a nursing mother, caution should be exercised.
Precautions & Warnings
During treatment, keep in mind the likelihood of superinfection with mycotic or bacterial diseases. If superinfections develop, Amoxicillin should be stopped and appropriate treatment started. If acidosis is suspected, discontinue this tablet and hospitalize the patient immediately.
Regular monitoring of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels is recommended in patients with hypothyroidism.
Long-term treatment with metformin has been associated with a decrease in vitamin B12 serum levels which may cause peripheral neuropathy. Monitoring of the vitamin B12 level is recommended.
Storage Conditions
Keep the temperature below 30?C and away from light and moisture. Keep out of children’s reach.
