Pharmacology of Xalcort 24mg Tablet

Xalcort 24mg Tablet Administration & Dosage

Adults-

• For rheumatoid arthritis, the maintenance dose typically ranges from 3 to 18 mg per day. Use the smallest effective dose and increase it if required.
• Bronchial asthma: Depending on the severity, high doses of 48?72 mg/day may be required to treat an acute attack. Once the attack has been subdued, the dose can be gradually reduced. The lowest dose that effectively manages symptoms should be used for maintenance in patients with chronic asthma.

Children: 

Children have only been minimally exposed to Deflazacort in clinical trials.
