A brief increase in serum aminotransferase levels has been recorded. Headache, vertigo (dizziness), and allergic responses have all been recorded as adverse effects.Pregnancy & LactationPregnancy: Pregnant women should take extra precautions. The benefits of bromhexine must be balanced against the risks to children.Bromhexine is predicted to enter breast milk during lactation. As a result, it is not advised that nursing women use bromhexine.Precautions & WarningsBromhexine should be taken with caution in individuals with a history of peptic ulcer disease because mucolytics can damage the stomach mucosa.
